The Wooler family history

Hello. I have just joined you and although I have been to Wooler in 1976, I was not researching your history then! Who were the first Wooler settlers? Do decendants live in the area now? Is the Wooler Garage I saw, still there? If anyone wants to join in, that is great! I appreciate the difficulties the world is in and I guess this takes my mind off it. I wish you all good health.
