An Acadian Family's Journey in New Brunswick, The Legacy of Maurice Roy 1875-1960 has just been published in August 2021. The mystery that remains to be solved is the traditional, spiritual name of Maurice's wife, Rose Anne Perron. According to wedding certificates and censuses from 1891 to 1921, she was the daughter of Ferdinand and Marie (Lizotte) Perron living in Balmoral. and she passed in 1928 in Newcastle NB. Rose Anne was born in Tobique (1874) and this was her residence when married in 1897. Apparently she had to leave Tobique because of inter-racial marriage before moving to Balmoral. Can anyone shed a light on my great grandmother's formative years in Tobique?
