Hello everybody in the forum,

I was hoping I could hear from some rural Canadian folks about guns in Canada. I am currently in the United States, and I've traveled to many different parts of this country. It seems that no matter where I am in the USA, I can't avoid hearing gunshots in rural areas. Sometimes it's very close, sometimes it's off in the distance. They are typically just shooting at cans or targets (outside of shooting ranges, I mean). I'm just wondering if this is the same experience in rural Canada. I know the USA has for more guns per capita than Canada (or any other country, for that matter) but I know there ARE guns in Canada and was wondering if a lot of those folks are rural dwellers and if they are off just shooting at cans in the countryside like they do here. Thank you.
