Karl and Tobey Wood (Caron) from Carstairs Alberta are fundraising for their daughter Jennifer Sanford and her husband Shawn Sanford and their children Cole age 15 and Paige age 14 from Didsbury Alberta.

They have been plagued with medical issues their whole marriage. When their daughter Paige was two, she was diagnosed with autism, and shortly after epilepsy. Paige’s autism is severe, and she requires around the clock care.

In August of 2019, Shawn was diagnosed with ALS, and his health has declined very rapidly since then, he now requires around the clock care. We are unsure how much time he has remaining.

This has been a very tough time emotionally, and there has been many changes for the whole family. After staying home to care for Paige, Jennifer had to start working, and still care for everyone at home. This has been extremely hard for Cole, Shawn’s always done everything with him fishing, hunting, etc. and now he is losing his dad and best friend.

Any money raised will go toward supporting the family now, funeral expenses and financial support for the family after Shawn’s departed.

The Carstairs Royal Canadian Legion Branch No.53 is hosting a Robbie Burns Gala on Friday January 25. Tickets are limited to 80 only and are $50.00 per ticket. Fraid Knot entertainment, traditional tatties, neeps, and haggis meal with roast beef for the faint of heart. I would like to buy one chord of birch firewood, cut (16" - 18") and split. Will pick up. 

She lives in the sub division near the golf course.

She was recommended but I must have the wrong house #.

My husband lost his glasses on Monday.  They were in a new sub division. We looked for a few miles trying to find them.

They are black. Even if they looked all banged up, we will take them. They do have a n insurance but only if we can take them back.

Asking for lakes near Carstairs that would be good for kayaking .  Within 1 hours drive.  Thanks.
