What happened to Frank?
Hello everyone,
I'm working on family genealogy and have an ancestor who was born in Nebraska in 1886, he moved to Canada about 1920, and ran a pool hall in Rose Valley for several years around 1927. His name was Frank Scollard. Frank is in the 1921 Saskatchewan Census with his wife Florence and son Harvey. I found in a Saskatchewan paper that he went to jail in 1927 for selling liquor in his pool hall (probably did not have a liquor license). Then in 1929, Frank is listed as deceased and is buried in a Rose Valley cemetery but I have no idea what happened to him. His wife and son are completely gone from any censuses I can find in either Canada or the U.S. until they show up in the state of Washington in 1940. I wondered if anyone has any information where I could find out what happened to Frank and exactly where he is buried. Thanks so much!
