William Sinclair employed by H B C 1881
My ancestor Scottish-born Murdoch Sinclair, worked for HBC from 1853 -1893 and I have found his records online and also via microfilms ordered from HBC. I am interested in what became of his eldest son, William, also an HBC employee, who was 17 at the time of the 1881 Canadian Census. William and his two brothers were born in Keewatin District and in 1881 the family were living at York Factory, Severn Post. Much later, William seems to have stayed in Canada while his father and his younger brothers, James (11 in 1881) and Joseph (9) returned to Scotland.
In 1859 Murdo had married Isabella Everette, daughter of Joseph Everette and I know a bit about Joseph too. I have a copy of the record of their Promise of Marriage at Trout Lake. Anyway, I'm hoping someone out there may have info about William Sinclair. I attach a photo of Murdo in his later days. Thank you for reading this.
